During this time of violence between Israel and Palestine, I would like to pray for all of the innocent people living in that area who just want to have food on the table, a roof over their head, a job and education for their children. Politics and policy are driven by a few and dont necessarily represent the many on both sides who just want to live in Peace.
I was in Israel a few weeks ago following a vision I had in India at the beginning of the year where I was instructed to go and do a ceremony for Peace and the sea in Southern Israel. A sacred Shiva Lingam appeared in the ashes of a fire ceremony the day before I left India and was given to me to place in the Sea in Ashqelon, only 20 km from Gaza. I traveled there with my wife Miriam Devi and was hosted by a wonderful group of spiritual people in the city of Ashqelon.
The ceremony was beautiful and people came from most of the communities that are now under daily rocket attacks in Southern Israel. During the ceremony a strong prayer for Education came through about how the youth need to be educated and not programmed. No one is born hating another, it is only through programing and then bitter experience that cause hatred. If this programing can be avoided through a deep education of morals based on love, compassion and service then the bitterness can be avoided and the sweet language of love can be spoken heart to heart, transcending all borders and mending all fences.
These prayers full of good intentions along with many colorful flowers and the white Shiva Lingam were offered into the Mediterranean sea. May these prayers wash up on the shores of the countries of the Middle East and help all to be more compassionate and forgiving and to release into the sweet mother Ocean the things that hold us back from living in Love.
I give thanks to Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba and my teacher Sri Sai Manju for their teachings and support on this journey through life and to all my friends and family near and far who helped me get to Israel. I pray for the safety of all of my friends and spiritual family in Israel and may the language of the heart prevail and peace come swiftly to all, for we are one.
