Spirit Songs annual Amazonian plant immersion

Manu Sai Malasquez

People of the world needing solace, the Amazon Rainforest has medicine for you. Pachamama knows of her children’s struggles and need for peace and healing. As she Heals us through her ancient wisdom, she helps us to remember the importance of living in gratitude. As our gratitude grows, so does our mindfulness and awareness about what we want to spend our precious time on.

A young healer in the forest many eons ago had a dream where a small old man came to him holding a large leaf, this leaf belonged to a plant that was only a few feet away from the young healers camp. The old man gave the young man instruction on how to rub the leaves together in his hands in a pot full of water. He then should bath with the water and drink a cup of the green leaf liquid and lay down to sleep. The young healer found the leaf and journeyed deep into a dream state where the grandfather helped heal his mind and taught him many things. He was taught how to use the rootand leaves of this jungle garlic to heal mental, emotional, spiritual and and physical ailments. The healer named this jungle garlic plant of emerald green color, Ajo Sacha. Ajo Sacha is a deep dream healer and is perfect for a first time plant immersion due to its gentleness.

The way that the young healer received this information is through direct communication with the plant. Plant to human transmission has been going on for a long time and continues to be passed down through medicine people in the Amazon Rainforest.

We are starting to open up the doors of Spirit Songs for people interested in learning this way. We will be having our annual Ajo Sacha Dieta from September 16 2018 to September 23rd.  This will be a time to unplug from electricity and to dream. We will start the dieta with an Ayahausca ceremony and continue into Ajo Sacha the next day. During this dieta we will drink Ayahuasca three times.  I wholeheartedly recommend this trip for those who need to slow down and give their overactive minds a rest.

Sathya Sai Baba walks into my heart, deep in the Amazon

Manu Sai Malasquez

I bow to the divine essence of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba and humbly ask for his blessings and inspiration to share these words with you. Ceremony is the base of my spiritual practice and what I share around the world with my global family. I facilitate and lead fire and offering to the earth ceremonies wherever I go, these ceremonies assist the local areas where they are performed, removing obstacles, clearing dark and unnecessary energies from within and without and unite us in the universal teachings of love and brotherhood.

I started attending ceremonies when I was a young boy of three or four growing up on the banks of the Ganges river in Varanasi India. My parents would take me to the river and while we walked along her banks, we could hear the Sanskrit prayers and mantras being chanted for the welfare of all beings. I remember my father leaving me at a Tibetan monastery on Saraswati hill in Swayambhu in Nepal for a few weeks and having many young monks as my friends.

When I was eleven years old, I attended first of many sweat lodge ceremonies with my father in California with Charlie Tom, a sacred elder from Mount Shasta. At fifteen, I participated in an Ayahuasca ceremony with indigenous healers in the Peruvian Amazon and the next year journeyed through time and space with my father and the San Pedro medicine on lake Titicaca. From Indian temples and Tibetan monasteries to majestic Christian Cathedrals, sacred caves, ancient ruins and Jungle clearings, I have been blessed to feel the sacred communion of ancient mysticism in action.

It had never been a question for me whether we can communicate with a higher power or not, I just chose not to because I thought that I could do it all for myself. I am so glad that the lord in his kindness, reminded me that it was my right to ask for divine assistance and when I did, I was immediately answered in the form of Shri Satya Sai Baba.

It  was while I was apprenticing in the Amazon rainforest in the year 2000, I had been studying practical shamanism, Ayahausca therapy and plant remedies for several months which started after going to the Amazon to flush out the toxins of a three year party binge. While detoxing I had an amazing vision on Ayahuasca of an Mohawk Indian appearing out the forest wearing a loin cloth and an Eagle on his shoulder, he looked at me and said "stay here and learn with us".

So I stayed for over a year, doing the process of dieting, which means that one does not eat sugar or salt, only basic fruits and simple grains, no sex, liquor or intoxicants. While on the diet, one eats and drinks plant essences, lives in the forest while communing with nature and learning to identify the plants and trees that would appear in ceremonies bearing gifts such as remedies in the form of salves, tinctures, powders and teas. They would sing songs to me and in the trance states I would hear their instructions on where to find them, how they looked like, what time to harvest their barks and how to prepare their healing teas that would be good for my liver, make my brain stronger, clean my kidney and help me journey further  and further into realms beyond my wildest imagination. Realms of earth, water, fire and air where the abilities to diagnose illness of the spirit, mind and body are taught by ancient sages who sit under beautiful Banyan trees and show how to make medicines and sing the healing lullabies called Icaro's. Each tree, river, rock and animal has an Icaro and knowing different Icaro's helps one to journey and use the ability and power of energy being summoned by the song to heal and assist as necessary.

I was traveling through these kingdoms at a lightening fast pace, assimilating teaching's, songs and healing abilities. Seeing shamans doing amazing things and learning how to do these myself did not teach me any humility, in fact as my new found powers grew so did my ego. I was inspired to tell others about what ailed them, how they slept and what they had for dinner the night before, I liked the surprise and impressed looks that I got.

During this time I would do a small ceremony every night, involving sacred plants, medicines and singing. This combination would put me into a trance where I would be open to receiving information from the elements and forces of nature, they would give me instruction on how to make formulas for healing and show me different options with diverse plants and trees around the world. They would show me how a palm tree in the Amazon could give one remedy and the palm tree in Egypt could give another one, the symbiosis was amazing.

One night as I prepared for my ceremony, thunder began to rumble in the heavens and as lightning streaked across the tropical sky, I heard a voice as loud as the thunder of ten thousand storms deep inside my soul saying"why are you not asking god for help?" I was asked this question three times and as I sank to my knees I realized that I had not been asking the highest source of all for help, I was just taking what I was being given and not going to the creator of everything.

Then and there I gave myself to Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. asking them to work through me, to bless my life and to instruct me on what it is that I must do.

Three days later as I prepared myself for the evening ceremony, the house that I lived in began to smell like roses, a deep scent that I had never smelt so strongly and out of the corner of my eye I glimpsed a flash of orange and there standing in front of me was Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba.

I had heard of him and tasted his vibhuti only recently and knew that he was a saint from India. As I mentioned his name in my head, he nodded at me in the Indian Style and said "you will be sitting in front of my feet in four months in India" I replied that I had no money, to which he said" I will take care" and then vanished. I sat there astonished and surprised, I had no idea what it meant to be visited by Sai Baba or what he represented. The visit that night became one of many.

My father is a spiritual teacher and brings people to sacred sites all over the world,he brought a group of students from England with him to the Amazon Rainforest where I met up with him. We were staying in a beautiful jungle lodge with a nice pool where I would swim to cool off from the tropical heat, one afternoon as I was swimming" a lady who was studying with my father mentioned that she had seen my "tattoo of an elephant before" I asked her to explain and she started to tell me about a sai baba nag champa oil that she would put on her third eye before meditation and one day she had a vision of the elephant tattooed on my right shoulder. So we started to speak about Sai Baba whom we both did not know much about and her interest in Indian culture. A few days later she tells me that she wants to go to India and will help me to go to Sai Baba's, and so four months later as Sai Baba had predicted, I was in Whitefield India sitting at his feet and have never left them since.

Sai Baba changed my life, brought honesty, humility and the desire to serve more and boast less into my thinking and being. He has touched my family, my loved ones and everyone I know. He got me off of tobacco and liquor, cleaned up my speech and has blessed me with a sacred marriage, a home and love for all sentient beings that inspires the ceremonies that I do.

The ceremonies that I am called and led to do around the world are for our beloved mother Earth or Pachamama, they are to nurture and heal her, to let her know that we love, appreciate and will do our best for her and and all sentient beings. My ceremonies are touched by the grace and love of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba and are completely dedicated to sharing his universal teachings that help us to come closer to our divinity..

I love you Swami, thank you for blessing my life, you are my Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, you are are my Lord Dattatreya, the Trimurti, the union of creation, preservation and destruction, you are the beginning and the end..

Gratitude to my beloved Teacher

Manu Sai Malasquez

On this Hanuman Jayanti, birthday of Lord Hanuman, protector of women, embodiment of devotion and purity, I feel so much gratitude for my Guru Satya Sai Baba.  He rescues me from the worlds temptations, reminds me about what is important and gives me sustenance and discernment to live in a good and correct way.  He reaches across the universe and gives me painful and sweet experiences that help me learn and evolve all the time. I am not perfect and I’m growing but I’m growing well, thanks to the hands of the divine Gardner. I’m grateful for everyone in my life, for every single one of you. No matter what we have been through together, I thank you for the experience and the learning. May god bless you deeply and carry you always.

Sometimes people ask me why I talk about him or include him so much in my my work, to which I can only reply, blood cannot flow without the hearts beat, how can I live without my beloved Lord Ram?

Thank you My sweetest Bhagavan, I love you

The strongest gift

The day you walked into my life everything shifted and continues to move forward into the divine light more and more.

You are my best friend, teacher and companion on this path of Bhakti. May our beloved Divine father and Mother continue to bless us with their  love and many more years of adventure and happiness together.

Safe Journeys Abuelito Benedicto

Manu Sai Malasquez

Benedicto and Antonia Pacompia, Island of Amantani, Lake Titicaca, Peru.

There are people in your life and then there are majestic people in your life. True kings who live on in the kingdom of the heart no matter when you see them again. I met Benedicto Pacompia on a boat on the way to the Island of Amantani on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca along with my parents when i was 15 years old.  We ended up being sent to his home as the tourists where split up and sent to the homes of the islanders on a rotation basis. Besides weaving and agriculture, tourism has always helped the island people. We were so touched by his families love and genuine welcome that my parents ended up creating a kindergarten and had it going for twenty years along with Benedicto and his family.  I will always remember catching frogs and showing them to Benedicto and his eyes twinkling as he smile spread so elegantly across his brown face. He has always been a father figure for me and I was so saddened about his passing a few weeks ago. The love of a father and grandfather who had always lived on his ancestors island was readily available from him at a moments notice. He would tell me stories about tunnels going under the lake and then join me in san pedro ceremonies and pray whole heartedly at the sacred vedic fire for all beings without any judgment.  A true gem of a man for whom the color of someones skin or language they spoke made no difference for him, we were all family. I love you Grandpa, safe journeys.

Interestingly enough, my wife and I will be on the Island of Amantani next month for the day of the dead and will be praying for the high Andean plateau and all of her residents, four legged, two legged, winged and scaled. Lake Titicaca is an important vortex on this planet and has a lot to give us in the form of energy and wisdom. Some say that Lemuria was located there as well as ancient monasteries and cloisters of light. My prayer for this dia de los muertos will be for the Apus, ancient mountain spirits that carry the life giving water in the form of snow, They are melting rapidly in Bolivia and need replenishing. In some places it is cheaper to buy Coca Cola then water.  May Benedicto's love for the lake, his family and people help carry these prayers of sustenance and hope in a good way and bless us all.

Thank you Papacho Lindo

I will always talk about you and your beloved Island, you will always live in my heart..

Te amo

Shirdi Sai Baba, protector and guide

Manu Sai Malasquez

Oh Beloved Shirdi Sai Baba

I pray for the world and all beings. Please bless us with your protection and guidance. Help us to remember and know why we are blessed with a human body and how to use  it properly.

Brother and Sisters

On the eve of my travels to New York City, I see on the news so much violence and depravity within society. I pray that we can come together in a good way and make a dedicated commitment towards personal change and wanting to make a positive difference in this world. Join me in ceremony as we come together to hold space for Mother Earth, our country and all victims of ego based hatred.

It’s time. We are the ones

Jai Sai Ram!

There's Earth under that asphalt. A ceremony for New York City

Manu Sai Malasquez

Healing in the forest is easy. We sit under trees, breathing in fresh air as we enjoy the solitude and connection with Mother Earth. Now try that in rush hour traffic  along with millions of other beings, rushing from here to there, caught up in being human doings instead of human beings.  Its not easy and yet completely possible, as long as we pay attention.

As I get ready to go to NY city to visit and pray with friends and family, I am reminded of a dream I had of Mother Kali a year or so back. She showed me NY city submerged under water and urged ceremony to raise awareness about the Earth changes coming. It's so hard to pay attention to change happening around us when we are caught up in the doing of things. Ceremony helps to create an energy, a focused prayer not just to the creator in the all around but also  towards the divine indweller within.

Reminders are a good thing, they help us to focus as we sit in circle, raising our energies and concentration. I can hear the song lines under the asphalt, I feel the bushes and trees asking for recognition. Let us come together and create a mandala of hope that will inspire us and our neighbours to remember that there's Earth under that asphalt, just as there's a human being inside that human doing.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Email or message me for information about the upcoming ceremony in Manhattan on the 4th or 5th of August.

Gracias y Bendiciones

Empowerment of the Soul, a healing journey

Manu Sai Malasquez

Disappointment brings so many teachings and this picture is of the Temple of Goddess Dhumavati in Varanasi. She is one of the Das Mahavidya goddesses and is also known as the Goddess of Disappointment.

I went to her for help during an intense period of my life and as I bowed down and touched my forehead to the floor and was starting to unload my worries, I heard her deep in my soul " don't worry, I know all about it and am taking care of you my son" True to her word, everything got taken care and the goddess of disappointment empowered me deeply and my life is the better because of it.

As a curandero medicine man, I am grateful to my gurus and teachers for having taught me many different and varied healing techniques and yet I am most grateful to the ups and downs of life, the pain and sorrow that has taught me to be grateful, the bitterness that has me appreciate the sweet.

It's easier to be authentique then to assume and project perfection. Im a divine being like you on a human journey, learning through each step.  I started to write this post to talk about the healing work that flows through me, to promote my work and here I am much more comfortable sharing my truth and heart.

I was trolled, slandered and character assassinated online, subjected to brutal stories intended to destroy me and my reputation and it all came from me seeing the truth about something in someone and before it was shared, I got attacked.  I'm grateful to Goddess Dhumavati for helping  me with this situation as it continues to unfold and for the empowerment of finding character within my faults, for helping me up and leading me inward and outward again.

Empowerment is an amazing experiential tool  and I'm grateful for the ability to share it in my healing work. What you will find in a healing session with me is truth and clarity, a different perspective and guidance from the divine to help us all.

thank you

Mata Dhumavati Ki... Jai!

Prashanti Nilayam Is our home

Manu Sai Malasquez

When Sathya Sai Baba was in his physical body, he would come out of his home in Prashanti Nilayam and walk to Sai Kulwant Hall and glide amongst us, blessing one and all with his darshan. After he was done, he would go back to his home and the devotees would disperse and go about their day until the next darshan time.

Seeing Sai Baba was only the begining of the day. The miracles of transformation would be happening all day long. If one had a question deep inside themselves, they might chance upon someone who would give them the answer or overhear it in a random conversation. Swami would come in dreams, arrange meetings, set people up for hugh falls, dust off the remenants  of their fallen ego and set them upon their path again in the right way. This was happening in the sacred precincts of the ashram all the time.

I'm here in Prashanti Nilayam, Sai Babas Ashram and im happy to say that nothing has changed in regards to mystical coincidence, the answered doubt, the healed wound and transformed character. Our beloved baba watches us from his Samadhi and cares for us all. He is as mischievous, benevelont, loving and strict along  with the love of a thousand mothers. No need to go anywhere else, Prashanti Nilayam is our home.

Inti Cesar Malasquez

On this sacred day of Guru Purnima, the full moon of the divine teacher, the dispeller of darkness, I would like to thank my father, Inti Cesar Malasquez.  He carried me on his back through the Brazilian Amazon and up to Machupichu. He took our family across Europe and into India by land  in the early 1970's to settle in Varanasi. He took me along with him into the sweat lodge and the way of the Red Road in the US before I was 12 and into plant medicine ceremony in the Amazon and Lake Titicaca when I was 15.  He teaches me about resilience and discipline and following the way of spirit and music. I love you Papai, thanks for giving me so much light that helps me dispel the darkness every day. May you live long and be happy, prosperous and healthy. I love you and thank you for Lord Shiva.

Healing of the Character

Manu Sai Malasquez

Batuk Bhairav Temple, Varanasi, India

Batuk Bhairav Temple, Varanasi, India

Starting the day here in India to the sounds of birds singing and Veda chanting is inspiring and a reminder of the beauty of gratitude and the blessings of life. As a retreat that I will be facilitating  in the Amazon rainforest draws near, I am reflecting more and more on the responsibility of working with Ayahuasca and what is the goal in doing so.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba came to me for the first time in the Peruvian Amazon seventeen years ago and told me that I would be sitting in front of him within 4 months. Exactly as predicted, I was sitting in front of him four months later.  His influence in my life continues to grow and the strongest way that it does is through his moulding of my character and that of his devotees. We can change many things but changing our character can be a lifelong task.

The medicine ceremonies that we facilitate in Peru always start with a fire puja intended to cleanse and purify us. This helps us to go into the ceremony with intention and clarity, clean and ready. If we go into ceremony without purification, then mother Ayahuasca works on cleansing us even more and this can get more uncomfortable then needed. The reason I also use fire is to remind us all about the importance of the creator and how important it is for us to be good. If we take medicine with the intention of not only hitting the delete but also the reset button, then it is easier for us to be in sync with all that has been, is and will be.

My ayahuasca teacher and brother Cesar Panduro is a good man who believes in the creator and works for the up above as he says. This creates a safe and positive environment to take medicine in.  He has allowed me to share my ceremonies within his work and together we are creating a synchronistic holy reel to share in the divine movie theatre of medicine work. Knowing that the creator is the director, producer, audience and movie screen helps us to be objective and clear in our ceremonies.

I am interested in helping all who come, not just with  healing or releasing, but character growth. This is why Im not afraid to bring up issues that are deep and should be released into the purifying fire. The world is rapidly shifting and we are the ones who can help our children's children to live in peace and prosperity.  Sai Baba says "be good, do good, see good" as well as the importance of good company.

Our healing retreats are special and I take my job as a soul surgeon or character mechanic seriously and hope that those who are open to shifting, read this and join us one day. Our character is so important, lets nurture the positive and burn the negative.

Thank you

for all my relations

Manu Sai

Inspirational Teachers

Nathan Eckhous

Sri Sai Manju Maharaj

In this life, it is so easy to get distracted by news of fear. From the time we have full use of our senses till the end of our stay here on Earth, we have the opportunity to choose what we look at and read. In this day and age, fear is the medium that sells and society is the buyer. What if society as a whole decided to live in gratitude instead of fear? In lieu of propagating news that causes panic, anxiety and depression, we share acts of kindness, hope and bravery. In my life, I have experienced all of these things that I am writing about on a personal and global level and I can say with all of my being , that there is hope for the world and that we are fully capable of rising to the occasion. HOPE can also mean, Heart organizing peace easily.

During the course of my life, I have had the blessed opportunity to spend time with teachers and masters who embody the principles of hope as they live their lives through right action, kindness and positivity. Master teachers who's sole concern is the upliftment of Humanity and all sentient beings as a whole.  One such teacher who is a shining example of Dharma is Sri Sai Manju Maharaj, affectionately known as Sai Manju by his devotees. An extremely gifted devotee of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba. He lives near Bangalore , in the state of Karnataka, in Southern India. Through his daily actions of kindness, respect for others and careful consideration, I have seen him heal people of mental illness, poverty, physical diseases and many other ailments. The powers that he uses are ancient and benevolent.

Once while sitting next to the Sacred fire with him, he reached into the glowing embers and retrieved a lingam ( a sacred stone symbolizing the universe) that had materialized in his fire and when it had cooled down, he gave it to me to place in the sea between Gaza and Israel to help with peace. To know him is to know the divine. I am grateful for his presence in my life and my prayer is that his knowledge and goodness spread and touch many. It is with the blessings of such sweet and powerful teachers that kindness can overcome fear and this planet becomes a place of Love and beauty.

Spirit songs and the Amazonian crystal matrix fire temple

Manu Sai Malasquez

Spirit Songs is the name of the retreat center that is being built in honor of the sacred Icaros. Mystical chants that are given in dieta (vision quest)  and assimilated by the body mind and soul to be sung as needed by the Ayahuasquero or curandero. If songs can be heard in the mystic and given to us, why not information for Planetary welfare? The Amazon has so much knowledge, medicine and gifts for the planet, some obvious and some not. Its time to come together and build a mystical laboratory,  where the spirits of nature are the Doctors and pharmacists and we the willing patients. Many people are building similar centers and temples of healing, helping so many people. For this we are grateful and appreciative. The Amazon is loud and has so much to say, she feeds us all oxygen and helps us live. She is not just Ayahuasca, she is multi versed and can converse with our souls in a myriad of ways. Bathing us in her healing waters, she feeds us nutrient rich healing and wants to help us live long, happy healthy lives..

A global ceremony for the Refuges of the world

Manu Sai Malasquez

In these times of great change that are sweeping across the globe, humanity is challenged to step into a place of greater awareness and balance. We are constantly being bombarded by images of suffering from around the globe and it is so easy to turn or switch off the channel. In some countries of the world, it is not so easy to turn the channel since change has come and it is here to stay. Join us as we do our part to balance the shift.

A few years ago, during a sacred pilgrimage in the Andes of Peru to Qoyllority , the spirit of (Apu) Mount Ausangate spoke to me and told me to start a worldwide offering to the earth ceremony whose main mission is to share the blessings of Pachamama with the refuges of the planet. Time has passed and spirit is leading me to Germany to perform it with many conscious people at the Bhakti Yoga Summer Festival. As you know, hundreds of thousands of Refuges are streaming into Europe and so many of them are in Germany. Mother Earth's heart is open and she knows how to care for her children. Let us help by planting a fruit tree on June 12th, 2016 . These trees will be be planted with love and the intention that all beings may be rooted in fertile, healthy soil and that they may be fed and loved always.

This ceremony is dedicated to all First Nation people and Refugees who have to feel the brunt of being uprooted from their lands and continue to be subjected to the whims of big business politics.

Being rooted is a trees natural state, its righteous action, its Dharma. It stands strong and beautiful, giving flower, fruit, and refuge under its branches. If left alone and respected, it will always be there, sharing endlessly.

Whats does Refugee mean?

"A person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster"

It means that they have been uprooted, in a radical way, sometimes from one moment to the next. Surely a traumatic and painful experience on so many levels. Unfortunately, the refugee crisis on this planet during these current times is on a scale never seen before and it is not stopping. We safely watch it from afar on our television screens and feel momentary flashes of empathy that quickly switch into something else, just as fast as we can change a channel.

I know that we are capable of great acts of love, care and respect. I would like to present to you a ceremony of awareness, one that will help to raise consciousness for our brothers and sisters who are homeless, living in camps, traveling great distances across hostile environments to reach refuge, safety, a warm bed, a hot meal, a place where they won't be attacked, assaulted or hurt.

Join me on June 12th, 2016 in a global fruit or nut tree planting ceremony. The reason I am asking people to plant a fruit or nut tree is that the tree is being planted with the intention for the fruit or nut to be shared with everyone. It will be planted thinking about refugees everywhere that need to feel rooted. This will raise our own consciousness and awareness about sharing and help us to connect with those in need everywhere. Let us help our Humanity to be firmly rooted and strong in kindness, gratitude and compassion.

Thank you

Lets JAMM for the Amazon

Manu Sai Malasquez

In 2001 Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba walked into my cabin in the Amazon jungle of Peru and radically changed my life. A complete revolution took place within my body, mind and soul as I evolved into my true self. During the time period from when Baba walked into my cabin retreat in the town of Santo Tomas till the time I saw him physically In India, I had two key visions about my life’s mission.

The first vision was of a music concert for the Amazon Rainforest. One that involved, film, special effects and world music. This was the rainforest herself coming to visit and touch her children around the world. The forest coming alive, shown to the audience like never before. Songs and their story coming through  to an audiovisual tapestry showing the magic magic of the Amazon and her shamans, singing their sacred Icaros ( Healing Songs) in a performance with dance and art, weaving through into the fabric of the audiences essence. A true blessing from Pachamama that will raise awareness and help us all. A few years after this experience, I founded JAMM ( Jungle Alliance of Medicine and Music) with a team of conservationists and lovers of the universe. To be an organization dedicated to the preservation of the sacred Icaros and the traditional medicinal knowledge of the Amazon’s natural pharmacy.

Through JAMM and under the direction of Ryan Wylie ,we started work on the film Icaros: Spirit Songs of the Rainforest and traveled to different tribes documenting shamans song's, tribal dances and medicinal lore in the Upper Amazon of Peru.

A few days ago after a ceremony, I started feeling a strong urge to start JAMM up again but differently. Here in Peru , lots of heavy things have been happening in the Amazon and other jungles. Oil spills, mercury poisoning and constant logging and disrespect of tribal boundaries and lands are increasing . Three recent oil spills were widely shared through social media and yet it never really became a big deal publicly. I realized that the concert to raise awareness and make conscious sound needs to be in Lima, the capital of Peru.  As the flow of this knowing flooded my being,  I understood that the call to action is now and that I have been in training as well as meeting the right people for the past 16 years, and just to make sure that I got it, i received this email 48 hours ago:

Dear Manu Sai Malasquez

I tried to contact you through the website contact sheet, but not sure if it got through, so I try this: I´m writing to you in attempt to find out if it was you I met, many years ago, in Sathya Sai Babas ashram.

My story, and why I wonder:

In 2002 i travelled a long way to get to Iquitos, where I took part of an ceremony of Ayahuasca. During this ceremony I remember long runs in the jungle as some kind of cat animal, and talks with the shaman.

In beginning of 2003 (might be 2002) I stayed three weeks in Sathya Sai Baba´s ashram in Puttaparthi, India. I participated in the morning ceremonies every day, but never made the effort in queuing up in the morning to get seats in front.  But, one morning I was sitting half sleeping, legs crossed, in the middle of a big crowd, waiting for Sai Baba to enter. I looked up as a man tapped me on the shoulder and told me to take his seat in the front. Sai Baba wanted to speak to me, he said. A bit fumbled I gave him my seat, and start walking towards the front. There I saw a empty spot. Two men looked at me, before saying; sit down, Manu must have sent you.

Sai Baba came into the hall, and started his walk on the opposite side. Without stopping he walked all the way to where I was seated, and approached me. We had a short conversation before he left again.

After the ceremony the man that offered me his spot came up to me again. He told me that he was a shaman from Iquitos, and that Sai Baba had come to him in a vision, and told him to come to his ashram.

This day he had been sitting in line and luckily got chosen a good  seat in the front. When Sai Babas voice told him that he should offer the seat to someone else, he didn't really want to do it. All the effort he´d been through to get this seat! But, after a second approach from Sai Baba the man turned around. In the crowd he saw all the men waiting, and me, but he didn´t see me but a tree. He reminded him self of the bigger picture, and stood up, went over to me, and gave me his seat.

Again I got fumbled since his description of the tree was identical as a special tree in the garden where i grew up. An oak half alive, half dead.

The man continued and said he had a mission of saving the rainforest. He was now on a journey to gather a crew. He was in need of a person with skills in multimedia and film.  He did not know that I was studying at a film school at that time. The reason Sai Baba asked him to give him my seat was to approve me to this project. At this time, this was way to much for me to try to understand. I lost control, and felt I was loosing the grip. Soon after I left.

Now, 13 years later, I´m a film- and theatre director in Norway, with my own production company. This episode has been with me all since, and the last years I have made myself ready to follow up what I left in India. I have a strong passion for the rain forest, and are looking for a possibility to use my skills to help it.

So, my question is: Are you the man that gave me his seat?

Kind regards

Oslo, Norway.

I got chills all over my body upon reading this email while my heart blasted open and tears rolled down my face and I felt Sai Baba’s love. How beautiful it is to see his divine hand at work.  So I share this happy experience with you and invite you to join me as we JAMM for the Amazon.
Thank you and may the blessings of the Creator and Mother Earth always be with you.

A Mantra for Earth Safety

Manu Sai Malasquez

Mother Earth shakes and quakes, Grandfather Volcanoes rumble, wild winds scatter across the land and the Oceans rise as the ice melts. Where do we stand as children of the earth during these shifting times? What can we do in the present moment to appease the elements, the up above, the down below and the all around?

Within this year, as I traveled between, Australia, Singapore, Russia, the US and Peru. I saw wounded and healthy lands, heard grave stories of injustice and saw beautiful people.  Praying in ceremony with friends, family and strangers, we shifted the focus from pain and injustice to right action, forgiveness and love. I met people with strong fears of cataclysmic disasters, ready to move because it was foretold somewhere or a psychic told them that the end is coming and its going to be heavy!

So we did ceremony about it and the answer came, and it came loud. Pachamama ( Mother Earth) loves her children and thats it. She is not interested in wiping us off the planet so that a token 100,000 can live peacefully. We have to do our part though by living in the present, taking care of ourselves and loving one another and all beings. Offer your prayer of gratitude every day to the all around, to the mountains, rivers, oceans, parks, indoor, outdoor plants, love and thanks. Remember that we are surrounded by consciousness that reacts to positivity.  Here is a Mantra dedicated to Lord Varaha, who was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu that came into existence to protect Bhoomi Devi, Mother Earth. This mantra can be played all the time and is wonderfully put together by Silas Mera Thomas incorporating the sound of whales, didgeridoo and vedic chanting by Manu Sai

Pachamama loves us all. Let us move towards her as children move towards their mother, with love, sweetness and the complete confidence that mom has our back. Talk to her, she hears you and if you can turn down your inner noise factor enough, she will answer your. Every single time.
